The Czech Fine Arts Foundation (NČVU) continues the tradition of the Association of Fine Artists, which was founded in 1887. Its mission is to support and develop Czech fine arts and ensure that the iconic Mánes Gallery building continues to serve as a vibrant space for the presentation and creation of modern Czech art.
The mission of the Czech Fine Arts Foundation is to support young Czech artists whose talent and work are shaping the future of the Czech art scene. This involves not only financial and material support, but also providing space and opportunities for them to develop their skills and knowledge.
The foundation strives to educate the artistic community and help them navigate the world of art, as well as practical areas such as financial literacy, marketing, and building their own portfolios. These activities are not only aimed at artists, but also at the wider public, whom we want to inspire and engage in dialogue about contemporary art.
The Mánes Gallery, managed by the foundation, is not only a unique exhibition space. The Mánes building and its interior layout allow for thematic lectures, educational workshops, discussion meetings, and chamber music performances. All of this can be complemented by the gallery’s artistic experiences.
Our main goal is to restore the prestige of the Mánes Gallery as one of the key centers of Czech fine arts. We believe that the revitalization of this iconic space in the heart of Prague will not only bring new opportunities for artists, but also create a unique place where a wide range of art and culture lovers in the general sense of the word will meet.
