The exhibition Housing in Prague, organised by the Architecture Week Prague international festival of architecture and urbanism, presents the development and current state of housing in the capital along two parallel timelines – historical and present-day. It will take place, as usual, in the Mánes exhibition hall from 22 September to 10 October 2026, open daily from 12:00 to 20:00.

The exhibition aims to bring Prague residents and visitors closer to the current state of housing and the long-term vision for the city’s development, while connecting expert insight with public debate on the shape of housing in Prague. It maps the development of housing from the creation of Greater Prague in 1922 to the present day, and also gives space to individual city districts to present their own plans and future visions.

The exhibition will present an interactive overview of more than 130 current and planned projects of the capital and its districts, complemented by an audiovisual presentation of the individual districts, with a separate section formed by a large media wall presenting individual projects.

The exhibition is being created in cooperation with the City of Prague and individual city districts. Visitors will gain a comprehensive overview of all current housing projects in Prague and learn what is being prepared for the city’s future. The exhibition will also include separate presentations of projects from individual city districts, and will be significantly enhanced by audiovisual elements and interactive features.

Following an agreement with the City of Prague, admission will be free, so that the exhibition is accessible to all residents of Prague.

The accompanying programme will offer lectures, debates, guided tours, workshops and evening film screenings with discussions.

Housing in Prague is an open invitation to a dialogue about how we want to live in the city – today and tomorrow.
